Illegal Sues for 500K for His Own Stupidity
There is so much wrong with this I do not know where to start. Let us begin with the ABC headline “Colorado Man Could Sue Divers Who Saved Him From Submerged Car.” He is not a Colorado Man, he is a “Mexican man” because he is an ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT! He and his oxygen thief lawyer are suing the rescue workers for $500,000 because it took two hours to get his sorry excuse of a life out of the water. This was his fault in the first place. There is a something called situational awareness. You are driving in a car on a mountain road near water and there has been bad weather recently, this means you should be alert to mud slides, avalanches, rock sides, flash floods, road washouts, and more. Before I lost my job, my family traveled extensively and many times through the mountains. We were always vigilant about rock slides and other hazards that could cause us possible mortal consequences. Guess what? It happened twice, we were ready for it and came out unscathed.
Did I mention that Roy Ortiz, the man in question is an illegal? He was driving a car. Did I mention that he is an illegal? How did he get a licence to drive? Does he have a licence to drive? Who’s car is he driving, more than likely illegally? Did I mention that Roy Ortiz is an illegal? He was driving to work. Did I mention that he is illegal so he should not have a job in this country. How many laws did this man break? These brave men put their lives on the line to save his sorry excuse of a life and he is suing them. Watch the videos here (there are 2 of them that play one after the other).
Watch as he in typical sue collar fashion rubs his shoulder in his interview. Then watch the next video that shows his rescue where he has no problem bending his arm and shoulder to put his life vest on. He puts weight on the very arm with the shoulder injury to get out of the car during the rescue. Did everyone miss the fact that he was most likely injured because of what he did to himself? Maybe driving your car off a road in to the flash flood ten feet below that washed it out caused your injuries. This brings up yet another question is he or his car insured? These are more bills that the American public are going to foot along with the cost of the rescue itself for a man who should not have been there at all.
His lawyer claims negligence because they did not find him on the first sweep. Well too bad. The first rule of rescue work is not to become a victim so you do not exacerbate the situation. Did anyone look at the situation? It is called a size up. The car he was in was upside down. The windows were covered. The water was running swift and was dangerous. No sense in risking the rescuers needlessly. The point is the rescue workers did not give up and they got him out safely.
Where was his responsibility to himself? He could have been proactive and been banging on the car and yelling to let others know he was in there. I know what the lawyers excuse will be, he did not know they were there because he could not see or hear them. Well well how does it feel to have the shoe on the other foot, because the rescue workers did know know he was there either for the same reasons. If you will not take any action for yourself how can you blame others for missing you? Most importantly however, is that he should not have been there because he should not have been in the country. He should not have been there because he should not have had licence to drive. He should not have been there because he should not have a car to drive. He should not have been there because he should not have a job in this country. He should not have been there because he should not have been there because he is an illegal. Case closed. He should not be able to sue, period. What a free loading waste of a life.
The final thought is what is next? What happens when this sorry excuse for a human being is deported, he attempts yet again to swim the Rio Grand in attempt to enter this country illegally? Once more and there is a flash flood that sweeps him down stream back into his sorry excuse of a country. Can he sue the United States for not having a sign in Spanish stating that the river is subject to flash floods in inclement weather?
