School Condemned for Black History Lunch

There is a story circulating about a school in Northern California that is catching quite a bit of flack for having a black history lunch. In honor of black history month fried chicken, corn bread and watermelon was served at one meal. Story at this link Food is not racist, it is fact or it is not. I am so tired of anything anyone tries to do to honor anyone (in this case some of the black community) always being seen as racist. So one cannot have an Italian day lunch with spaghetti and meatballs? What about corned beef and cabbage on St. Pats Day? Do we have to stop calling sausage Italian and Polish and just call it sausage? If there were a Ukrainian or Russian day and the school served borscht, I would be honored. This is a case of some in the black community and self hating and self conscience white people being way over sensitive. Just check out this site and the second suggestion. Where is the outcry here?

  1. Good evening, I just wanted to clarify that the food was not served. Rather, the unapproved menu announcement was announced on the PA on Monday (for Friday). Unfortunately, the media has several versions of what happened circulating with many inaccuracies. Thank you for your time.

  2. Thank you, this is why it is very important to have first hand information, to correct the medias twist in their stories.

    Thanks again,

  3. Yes, many folks are too quick to pull the racecard.
