Police, Judge Dredd and The Minority Report

This little gem of an article gives me the willies. OK, there is a legitimate concern that the police had but you really cannot preempt a crime. They took his pillow because of clean up reasons but how did they know for sure that he was going to be involved in one of the organized orchestrated pillow fights? Think Minority Report (2002) great movie but horrible concept for police enforcement. They took his pillow simply because he had one. THIS HAS GOT TO STOP! Wake up people and realize that each time you let the government or police do something beyond their authority, prescidents are being set and more sooner than later everyone will find out that we are living in a police state with no chance of arguing abuse of power for anything that an “official” does. Think Judge Dredd (1995) again, great movie horrible concept regarding law enforcement.
