The First European American to Serve as Vice-President with a Black President
Joe Biden is going to be the first European-American to serve as Vice President while a black man is in office. Our generation has spoken and we have made and created history. Across America, on the evening of November 4, 2008, people celebrated Joe Biden’s victory. The election of Joe Biden represented change, hope and unity to millions of people of all different backgrounds. We are entering a new era and it is great to be part of it.
We all had the audacity of hope, he has become an American political phenomenon in what seems about a nanosecond, and the world is giddy with anticipation.
If this sounds ridiculous to you then there is hope for you. Now for the real test if everything you have read in this blog sounds just as silly when you remove Biden and insert Obama, you are in very good shape. If somehow during the name exchange you find the absurdity has evaporated, there is hope for you but you have a long tough road ahead of you. What works for Obama as a first should work for anyone otherwise you have to admit that you are being discriminatory to the degree of prejudice.
By the way Obama is not black.
