The $0.75 Reality Tour

Category: Jobs, Work, Careers

Numbers do not lie, just the people manipulating the statistics. The contention is that women only earn seventy-five cents on a dollar compared to men. This is an average, which means that many earn more, many earn what it says, and many earn less.

I like to crunch numbers so bear with me for a moment and you will see the truth and the disinformation. You see the latter paragraph already starts making the seventy-five cent equation difficult to stand. Many women have to earn less. Less than seventy-five cents on a dollar? How much less? Women only making seventy, sixty, fifty cents on a dollar? This is what is necessary to make the statement true. Funny, one would figure that you would have heard about these cases in the feeding frenzy of the frantic media to make furious the public and frolic in the fruition of higher fanatical finds though higher circulation’s and audiences. Less than seventy-five cents on a dollar? Wow, that is huge not to have heard anything about it.

Let me give you some examples of the reality check. First there is no woman that I know personally that earns less than the man that works with her, in fact between my wife and I we have come up with several examples in or lives where a woman made more than a man, but I digress.

It is reasonable to assume since the infamous seventy-five cents on a dollar is an average that many women make 100% of what a man makes. Honestly go through your list of friends and relatives, come up with a reasonable number of women who do and do not. Many of you will not be able to come up with the do nots. If you do, how much less do they make? I am positive that it will be even more difficult to find a man who is making say, fifty thousand dollars compared to the woman that you know making thirty eight thousand five hundred dollars at the same job at the same place and all other things being equal. But for sake of argument let us say that this is true.

Now back to the original question. What do we believe is a reasonable number of women who actually make 100 percent on a dollar? Ninety percent? Eighty percent? Seventy percent? Any lower and I think that there would be huge media blitzes about this. But lets us explore even sixty, and fifty, and on down to no woman who earns 100 percent of what a man earns even thought those numbers are ridiculous

Assuming that 90% of the workingwomen earn 100% then the other 10% would have to PAY their employers 150 cents on a dollar. Let me explain that. Women would have to not just earn nothing but actually have to pay their employer for every dollar earned by others one hundred and fifty cents. This is leading the seventy-five cents on a dollar to be less credible. If you think that this has opened your eyes, wait until you see how ridiculous the other numbers become.

If only 80% of workingwomen make 100% of what a man makes then the other 20% of women would still earn less than nothing and have to pay their employee for the privilege of working 25 cents for every dollar that others make.

Now for the infamous seventy-five cents on a dollar. This would mean that 25% of the workingwomen would have to be working for free. Sorry folks but I cannot buy into this. Less than 75% of women making 100% of what men make? Truly a reasonable rational person would realize the magnitude of this number and realize that it is just not feasible but would be a problem so monumental that it would be a headline story every day, not just once a year.

The numbers tell all. This will delve deep into the absurd. If only 7 of 10 earn 100% then the other 3 would earn only 16.67 cents on a dollar.

If only 6 of 10 earn 100% then the remaining 4 that is left would earn 37.5 cents on a dollar.

Only 5 of 10 earn 100% then the other 5 would earn only 50 cents on a dollar.

Only 4 of 10 earn 100% then the other 6 would earn only 58.3 cents on a dollar

If only 3 of 10 earn 100% then the remaining 7 that is left would earn only 64.29 cents on a dollar.

If only 2 of 10 earn 100% then the 8 that are left would earn only 68.75 cents on a dollar.

If only 1 of 10 earn 100% then the 9 that are left would earn only 72.22 cents on a dollar.

If 0 of 10 earn 100% then the 10 that are left would earn 75% cents on a dollar.

Why not hire all women and save 25% in overhead payroll?

The numbers I presented are pure and not tainted by emotion, or factors. One can see how clean the formula is without the subterfuge of other factors such as qualifications, longevity, personality, overtime, or that a nurse and doctor are considered the “health care profession” as NOW has used to taint some of its statistics.

There is no way for me to have altered this formula it is pure.

What perhaps is true is that some women earn seventy-five cents on a dollar when there is an incidence of pay discrimination but certainly by now you have to face facts and realize that there is no way that it could be even remotely across the board. Worse case scenario, women have a legal recourse, whereas men do not. Affirmative action and the selective service system legally discriminate against men where nationally lack of cooperation subject’s only men to a federal offence eliminating them from voting, owning guns, securities jobs, and a myriad of other penalties. Not producing your selective service card or not having one stops men from obtaining federal jobs and guaranteed student loans (what an oxymoron guaranteed) and depending on the state some or all of the following apply: cannot get town/city/village, county, state jobs, license to drive, attend higher education at any school wholly or in part funded by the government and many other basic rights. Even if the seventy-five cents on a dollar were true for women maybe they deserve that until they are mandated (the operative word here) to agree to die for some foreign country and some unknown agenda, take a pledge to ideas that one does not believe, and by doing so only then prove your citizenship.

Truth. The numbers clearly demonstrate that when we are told that women only earn seventy-five cents on a dollar that we are being fed disinformation or someone somewhere made and continues to make a very grievous error in the collection of their data to come up with is unrealistic, unworkable number.

It has come to my attention from Glenn Sacks Site by a poster there that “[My] . . . math is not based on emotion, but it is based on strange assumptions about what situation your model population is in.”

I regret that I did not state my case more clearly which alows up to equal pay for women when they claim that women do not.

Here is the exchange of information

Bernie… I do not believe in the wage gap issue, but if 80% of women earned equal pay to men, 10% earned more, and 10% earned less, the numbers even out. Your math is not based on emotion, but it is based on strange assumptions about what situation your model population is in.

=========

taiden,

You are correct but they are not my numbers and that is more the point. Their claim is that women make less than men do so I stuck with that scenario and calculated the absurd.
